This September, Keelings are celebrating Berry Breakfast Time for the third consective year. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day as it breaks the fast after hours of sleeping. However, a recent Bord Bia report has revealed that the average time allocated to breakfast in Ireland is less than 15-minutes and nearly half of Irish people admit that they check their emails, or sift through social media while having breakfast*.
We understand mornings can be hectic but we feel that with some quick and creative breakfast recipe ideas, mornings can be made incredibly tasty, really quickly.
According to the Bord Bia report, our breakfast choices are lacking creativity with only 7 per cent of Irish adults varying their breakfast during the week. We hope to provide inspiration and encouarge Irish people to mix things up in the morning by using Keelings berries in a convenient and delicious way. See below for plenty of exciting recipe ideas to help pack in that healthy morning meal into 15-minutes.

Adding a variety of fruit to your breakfast has huge benefits, for example, strawberries are high in vitamin C which aids iron absorption. Blueberries are rich in nutrients and contain a large number of antioxidants. Raspberries contain vitamin K and manganese, which both play a role in bone health. A cup of raspberries packs an impressive 8 grams of dietary fibre, a third of the daily minimum goal. Fibre contributes to the feeling of fullness and a daily breakfast must be filling as well as nutritious. I understand mornings can be hectic, but thanks to Keelings’ quick and creative breakfast recipes, mornings can be made incredibly tasty, really quickly. I think a yummy breakfast is worth taking the time to enjoy. Give yourself some ‘off-screen time’ in the morning and try to embrace breakfast time every morning of the week.
